Veruca Salt Blow It Out Your . . . It's Veruca Salt (Minty Fresh/Geffen)
*1/2

This overwrought, four-song, Steve Albini-produced bid for punk rock credibility is so caught up in making a gratuitous anti-fashion statement that a discussion of the music (which represents no progression from the Chicago band's previous output) seems irrelevant. The title and cover art, which depicts the band members swathed in toilet paper, pretty much say it all.
