If you live in the northern central states, you are now entitled to receive a free credit report from all 3 credit bureaus. West Coasters have been able to get theirs for about 3 months now. You Southerners and East Coasters are just going to have to wait though. Go and get yours today!
This is actually an annual thing so you can get a free report from Experian, Equifax, and Transunion once a year, but only once a year. You also have the option of getting all 3 reports at once or staggering them. It's up to you, but I highly recommend you take advantage of this. Knowing what's on your credit report is one of the most important things you can do to protect yourself.
