I HATE CELL PHONE CAMERAS
My friend, cetan, wrote a post about cell phone camers. I was going to write a comment to his post, but as you can see, my feelings on this warrented a post of its own:
I hate cell phone cameras. Technology tends to fall in 2 camps: pick 1 thing and do it great OR do everything equally as bad. Guess were I would categorize the cell phone camera? On top of this is I found it annoying enough whent he naked guy in the locker room just would not let a call from his buddy go to his voice mail ... Nooooooooooo ... he has to answer that right there standing in full view of everyone. That was bad enough, but now he could be taking pictures of people without their knowledge.
I was at Great Clips near my house and a mother was letting her child play with her cell phone. I didn't mind as it had games on it and it kept the brat from screaming. Then I notice I hear some clicking sounds coming from the phone, it kind sounded like a faint camera shutter. This kid was taking pictures and the only indication was a faint sound. I think Korea has it right when the passed a law stating a camera must make a VERY LOUD sound when a camera takes a picture.
Here's the best part about cell phone cameras: what about businesses that forbid cameras on the premises. I work at such a company. Seeing as we make cell phones for a living, it's kinda hard to ban cameras all together. Do you just ban camera phones? How can you tell? Do you know examine every cell phone a person tries to bring onto the premises, which in my company's case would be EVERYBODY!
Just my 2 cents and sorry for the rant.
I promise to be funny next time.

1 Comments:
The locker room at the local pool does not allow any cell phones inside. So that kinda solves both of your complaints.
