*YAWN* I have been very busy lately. The hole in our ceiling leading to the attic is still there, much to my wife's chagrin. Fortunately, she does understand since there has been a lot happening. For starters, we spent the weekend in Detroit to attend the wedding of my wife's uncle. It was a lovely affair and we had a great time. Unfortunately, it was a very quick trip ... We drove in Friday night arrive at 2:00 am and had to had back home Sunday afternoon.
So, why didnt I finish the project on Monday or Tuesday? Well, I'm in the final semester of getting my master's in Telecommunication and Software Engineering and I had an exam today. So, I actually studied for this (I know ... a big shock to those of you who know me :)) The class involved calculating propagation loss in RF systems due to Reflection, Scattering, and Knife Point Diffraction. Well, since the exam was today, you must be wondering how I did.
Let me explain how I take a test ... I go through the questions answering those that I know right away and skipping those I don't. Well, by the time I reached the last page of this particular exam, I had managed to write my name. Not only that, but reading the questions made me wonder if there was some kind of drastic mistake and my exam got switched with another class. None of the terms made any sense to me like 2nd and 3rd tier co-channel cell interference, calculate the Signal to Interference ratio for a NAMPS system with path loss exponention of -4, determine the equivalent single knife point obstruction given 2 defined knife point obstructions. For those who I know read this blog, the sad thing is I had the exact same look on my face as you do right now.
I was able to pull something out of my nether region to answer it. I have no idea if any of it is correct, but at least I wrote something. I had given thought to turning in the exam with just my name and pray for sympathy points.
Well, I will have more tomorrow, but I need to vent and kill people (in an online sense of course).
